Entrance Ceremony
A formal worship service is held in the chapel.
Hymns, prayers, and readings from the Bible all serve to create
a solemn atmosphere, impressive even to those with no prior
contact with Christianity. |

Freshman Orientation
Following the entrance ceremony we invite
new students to join us on an overnight trip. Getting to know
onefs classmates and professors is the first step towards
getting used to college life. |

Club Introduction Day
In mid-April, Seigakuinfs various clubs and
interest groups gather together on campus to provide information
on their activities and invite new students to join up.

SLEP Test
New students will take an English placement
test in order to determine each studentfs level of English
proficiency. Students will be divided into separate English
classes based on the results of this test.

Juvenalis
Sports Festival
The ancient Roman poet Juvenal (Decimus Iunius
Iuvenalis) once said, "A sound mind dwells within a sound
body." In the spirit of these words, we invite you to
participate in a number of athletic events that both students
and faculty can enjoy. |

Christian Emphasis Week
A week dedicated to the knowledge of Christianity.
In order to introduce the rich world of Christianity and Christian
culture to students, we have organized several interesting
and meaningful programs to be presented throughout the week.

Current students help prospective students
tour the campus and provide information about Seigakuin University.

JULY-AUGUST |

Clean up Activity
Students voluntarily participate in “Clean
up Activity” several times a year. They pick up garbage around
Seigakuin University campus to keep the community clean and
tidy.

Summer Retreat
The aim of the treat is to "Retire to
a quiet place and develop onefs character." For 3 days
and 2 nights, students study the Bible amidst nature and have
a chance to talk freely about life and about friendship. An
abundance of recreational programs are planned. By the final
day, feelings come to their height around the campfire.

Foundation Memorial Day
Service and Concert
To commemorate the beginning of the Protestant
Reformation by Martin Luther on October 31st, 1517, Seigakuin
Foundation Memorial Day is October 31st. Students and faculty
convene together in order to attend the service, where various
eminent lecturers and musical performers are hosted. |

Veritas Festival
The Veritas Festival is held during the holidays
in early November. "Veritash means gthe truth" that
sets us free, referring to Godfs truth, of course. Students
prepare various programs such as concerts, sports games, exhibitions
of studentsf works, research presentations, a flea market,
and refreshment booths. |

Christmas Service and a Special Concert
Christmas service and a special concert are
held at Seigakuin University Chapel every year. Students enjoyed
hand bell concert by “Grace Hand Bell Choir” in 2006. Hymns
are dedicated to God by Seigakuin Choir, Seigakuin Hand Bell
Choir, and Seigakuin Philharmonic Orchestra during Christmas
Service. |

Winter Retreat
A 3 day, 2 night trip: An occasion to relax
from the fall semester final exams. Everyone has a very fun
time because students, along with friends and teachers, can
reflect on the yearfs studies and share their dreams for the
future.

Graduation Ceremony
The graduation ceremony is held in
the chapel. The days spent at Seigakuin remain in our hearts
even as we begin our journey into adulthood. While marking
the start of that journey, this day also commemorates four
years of memories. |
