This research course is based on the thought of modern democracy, giving attention to the development of ideas into actual policies. Responding to the needs of students, three majors have been created with a view to nurture individuals who can discover and solve social problems.

Students investigate the problems of the modern economic system and the financial market.

Public Policy

This course pursues the solution of the problems that national and local governments confront.

Politics and Policy

Various political problems and themes related to democracy, such as peace studies, the security of Japan, and environmental problems, are the subjects of this course.
